The Elliott Institute, a private school for children with Autism, contacted us in 2007 to redesign their Website. We visited the institute and were struck by the vibrant energy and resilience exuding throughout. What was needed was to bring an extensive use of pastels, and childlike energy to the new design. We utilized customized graphics and Flash elements throughout.
You can view two special Flash elements from the new site here. The first is the Website's opening Flash movie, which includes a redesign of the institute's logo. Using a 3-D graphics animation program, and the inspiration from a set of children's play blocks, we were able to take what was a rather flat design and give it a more lively look.
One of the requirements of the site was to create a memorial Flash movie for one of the founders of the Institute who passed away in 2004. Our clients felt this really captured the essence of co-founder Leslie Watkins and her spirit that still fills the halls of the Elliott Institute.
